Get E-Shram Card made sitting at home, you will get many benefits, know the registration process

E-Shram Card Registration: The government is running many types of schemes for the poor and working class people of the country. Only laborers working in the unorganized sector, agricultural workers and landless farmers can take advantage of this. After registration on the portal, workers get the benefit of government schemes. So let’s know how you can apply for this.

Insurance is available for free
The e-Shramik Card Yojana is an initiative of the Government of India, which aims to give a digital identity card, known as e-Shramik Card, to unorganized workers. These workers include laborers from various sectors such as construction, agriculture and manufacturing, who often work without job security or benefits.

Insurance up to Rs 2 lakh is available
Currently, workers registered on the e-Shram portal get insurance benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY). Workers do not need to pay premium for insurance in this. If an e-Shramik card holder dies in an accident or becomes completely disabled, then an insurance amount of Rs 2 lakh is available. At the same time, if a person is partially disabled, then insurance of up to Rs 1 lakh is available.

These documents will be required
To register on the e-Shram site (SHRAM), your age should be between 16-59 years. Apart from this, there should be documents related to educational qualification (optional) and documents related to occupation and skills (optional). This portal was launched on 26 August 2021.

Documents required to make e-Shramik Card

  • Aadhaar number.
  • Mobile number.
  • The mobile number should be linked to the Aadhaar number.
  • Bank account.
  • Documents related to educational qualification. (optional)
  • Occupation and skill related documents. (optional)

How to register for e-shram card

  • Visit the official website of e-Shram, register.eshram.gov.in.
  • Here on the home page click on Registration.
  • After this you will have to enter your Aadhar linked mobile number.
  • You will receive an OTP, upon entering it the e-shram registration form will be visible.
  • Enter your personal details, qualification and bank details in the form.
  • After this your registration will be completed.
