Germany beat Hungary 5-0 in the Nations League match

Jamal Musiala scored once and set up three more as Germany beat Hungary 5-0 in Düsseldorf on Saturday night.

The Bayern Munich midfielder scored a goal himself and assisted Nicklas Fulkrug, Florian Wirtz and Aleksandar Pavlovic. Kai Havertz scored from the penalty spot in the 81st minute.

Germany took the lead in the Nations League Group A3 match with Fulkrug tapping in Musiala’s assist in the 27th minute.

Hungary came out of the changing room pushing for an equaliser, but Musiala struck on the break in the 58th, finishing off a quick counter-attack from the visitors’ corner and Wirtz’s long chip.

Wirtz then drilled a one-two with Musiala in the 66th to third. Man of the match Musiala was then sent off by Aleksandar Pavlovic, who got his goal in the 77th minute.

After missing a pair of good chances, Havertz also got on the scoresheet, converting from the penalty spot after he was brought down in the box by Willy Orban.

Germany travel to face the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Tuesday, while Hungary host Bosnia and Herzegovina.
