Classes in a Georgia school district where the alleged shooter colt grey is accused Two students and two teachers were killed will reopen Tuesday — except for Apalachee High School, officials said.
Barrow County School System posts letter on its website“On Tuesday, Sept. 10, school will resume for all students, except Apalachee High School students.”
“This past week has been an incredibly difficult time for all of us. We are still grieving but at the same time we must do our best to navigate this unknown journey together,” wrote first-year superintendent Dallas Leduff.
Laduff wrote that tighter security measures will be taken as soon as schools reopen.
“We will have additional support and security, including more law enforcement at each of our schools,” he wrote.
The school community can get “free resources and mental health services” through Georgia Emergency Management, which is operating a community recovery center in the area, he added.
“We are in this together, and as a community, we will continue to look out for each other,” he said in the letter.
