Friend used to ask for 50 thousand rupees which he had lent… called him on some pretext and then murdered him by slitting his throat

In Saharanpur’s Nanauta police station area, a friend killed a bank employee by cutting his neck for Rs 50,000. After this, the body was thrown into the canal. After being arrested, the accused confessed to the murder during interrogation and also gave information about how and why he committed this crime.

During interrogation, the arrested accused Pravesh told that the deceased Ankit Kumar used to work on a scheme to give loans to groups in HDFC Bank branch Gangoh. I had become friends with Ankit. I had taken an installment of about 38 thousand rupees from Ankit Kumar’s group. I had also borrowed 12000 rupees from him.

Friend was asking for the money lent
Ankit had been asking for these installments and the money he had lent for a long time. Ankit kept asking for the installment amount and the money he had lent again and again. I did not have the money. I was upset because of this. I was not able to pay the money so I thought why not finish off Ankit.

The accused was troubled by repeated demands for money
On August 17, I called Ankit on the pretext of giving him money and then took him to Hamampur canal. I killed him by slitting his throat with a knife and threw his body and his bag in the canal. I also threw his motorcycle in the canal on Barsi Road.

Then a conspiracy was hatched to remove him from the way
SP Rural Sagar Jain said that the deceased used to go from village to village to collect EMI. Therefore, some suspects were questioned from the nearby villages where the body was found. The deceased’s friend Pravesh son of Indrapal, who lives in Barsi, was questioned. He confessed to the murder and told how he called Ankit and killed him.
