A former California Democratic politician is leaving the Democratic Party and speaking out Vice President Kamala Harris’ record On education in the state.
Former California Senate Majority Leader Gloria Romero announced Wednesday that she is switching her voter registration to Republican, saying she has “had enough.”
“There are many, like me, who are disaffected Democrats, and we no longer recognize this so-called party of democracy,” Romero said.Ingraham Angle“Thursday.
Romero said Harris was “trying to pass a bill that would put mothers of students in jail and not going to school.”
“I’ve tried to champion school choice, education freedom in California,” Romero said. “Her record as Attorney General shows that she has done nothing to change schools, to provide for school choice. In her hometown of Oakland, California, today, 75% of both African-American and Latino children are not reading or doing math at the basic proficiency level. And yet, she went to court with the teachers union — the very powerful big donors — that these families dared to go to court and sue that California attorney general.”

The former political leader said many Democrats are considering changing their party registration or simply voting for the former President Trump “Absence of school choice, freedom of education, open borders, rampant crime – a mockery of citizenship itself.”
“Blue California may be blue, but people are willing to vote for change Make America Great AgainAnd I am proud to say that today.”
Harris has given few interviews since becoming the Democratic nominee and has gone more than 50 days without a formal news conference. Her record is expected to come under scrutiny during the Sept. 10 ABC News presidential debate.
