Haryana elections are near and the movement of turncoat leaders has started. In this sequence, a few days after resigning from BJP, former president of the special publicity cell of the Haryana government and Haryanvi singer Jai Bhagwan Mittal alias Rocky Mittal joined the Congress. During this, Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala gave him party membership in Kaithal.
Rocky Mittal joined the party by apologizing to Rahul Gandhi in a special way. He sang a song while addressing Rahul from the stage and also apologized to the Congress MP for all the comments he made while he was in BJP. The video of him joining Congress in this style has been posted on Instagram by Indian Youth Congress President Srinivas BV. In this post, he wrote, “Forgive me Rahul my brother… BJP leader Rocky Mittal joined Congress in this style while apologizing.”
Rocky left BJP on August 1
Rocky Mittal had quit the BJP on August 1 and alleged that the party ignored him despite his selfless work and false cases were filed against him in the last four years. Before joining the Congress, Mittal said that he had written/sung more than 200 songs for the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the last 14 years and yet he was put in jail.
Rahul Gandhi never complained against me: Mittal
According to reports, Rocky said, “I made songs against Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi, but he did nothing to me and never even filed a complaint against me. Now I feel that I was wrong. I used foul language against him in the last 14 years.”
Rocky Mittal went to jail in 2021
Let us tell you that on 13 March 2021, he was arrested by the police in a 2015 case, when he allegedly misbehaved and assaulted a judge during a protest in Kaithal. He was later sent to jail and released on bail. Earlier, Rocky Mittal has also sung songs with many controversial lyrics about Rahul Gandhi, for which local Congress leaders had warned him several times.
