Heavy rains continue to wreak havoc across the country. Many states of India are currently in the grip of floods, due to which life has been disrupted. Landslides caused by torrential rains in Wayanad, Kerala wreaked havoc. Hundreds of people have lost their lives in this accident so far. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert in Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Goa and Gujarat today, August 1.
Delhi’s climate
Intermittent rain continues in the country’s capital Delhi. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in Delhi till August 2. Due to heavy rain in the past day, people have faced problems due to heavy waterlogging in many areas of Delhi-NCR. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi can remain between 33 to 35 degree Celsius this whole week and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 26 to 27 degree Celsius.

According to weather forecast agency Skymet, during the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain is possible in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, North Eastern Rajasthan and Delhi NCR. At the same time, light to moderate rain with heavy rain may occur in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Apart from this, motor training is possible in North East India, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Rajasthan. Light rain is possible in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
