Firing on BJP leader’s car in Bhatpara during Bengal bandh, Shubhendu said – TMC goons attacked

The uproar in West Bengal does not seem to stop. BJP had called for a 12-hour Bengal bandh on Wednesday. There have been reports of sporadic violence from many places regarding this. Meanwhile, BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari has claimed that TMC goons have fired on the car of a local BJP leader in Bhatpara, in which the driver has been injured. The BJP leader said that during this time 6 rounds of firing were done, the video of which has also been captured on camera.

In a post on Instagram, Shubhendu Adhikari wrote, ‘TMC goons have fired on the car of well-known BJP leader Priyangu Pandey in Bhatpara. The driver of the car has been shot. The shutdown is successful and people have supported it wholeheartedly. The poisonous cocktail of police and TMC goons will not be able to scare the BJP.’

Let us tell you that BJP had called for a 12-hour Bengal bandh today. BJP has called for a 12-hour Bengal bandh today in protest against the police action on the students marching to the secretariat under the Nabanna Abhiyan. This bandh will be from six in the morning to six in the evening. Actually, people are angry at the Mamata Banerjee government over the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital.

Two BJP MLAs detained in Cooch Behar

Two BJP MLAs have been detained in Cooch Behar, Bengal. These MLAs were trying to stop buses from the bus terminus. Bengal Police detained these MLAs Malti Rao Roy and Mihir Goswami from different places in support of the bandh.

Nabanna campaign organiser Sayan Lahiri arrested

Kolkata Police has arrested student leader Sayan Lahiri, the organiser of the Nabanna campaign. Lahiri is associated with the West Bengal Students Society. Sources say that Lahiri had met some leader in a five star hotel in Kolkata before the Nabanna march.
