Badlapur Railway Station Firing: The firing incident at Badlapur Railway Station in Thane district of Maharashtra, adjacent to Mumbai, created a stir. There was chaos during the firing there on Thursday evening.
People were seen running here and there to save their lives. Meanwhile, one person got injured due to bullet shot. He has been sent to the hospital for treatment.
Giving information about the incident, a Government Railway Police (GRP) official told PTI that the incident took place on platform number 1. Immediately after which the attacker was immediately overpowered and taken into custody.
The GRP officer further said that the person who got shot during the firing has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
He said that senior officials including Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Railway) had reached the spot. Now the investigation of this case is going on. Police is trying to find out why the attacker carried out this incident.
