A 26-year-old female tattoo artist from Assam had reached Akola in Maharashtra. She was preparing to settle in Mumbai. She had gone to meet her boyfriend in Akola, where she was found dead. Several injury marks were found on her head. Police suspect that the tattoo artist was murdered by her boyfriend, whom she met on social media. Police said that the female tattoo artist’s boyfriend is absconding. He is being searched for.
According to the agency, Murtizapur City Police Station official said that the tattoo artist named Shantikriya Kashyap alias Koyal was a resident of Assam. She was found dead in a house in Pratik Nagar area on July 24. There were sharp weapon wounds on her body. Her lover Kunal alias Sunny Shringare, 30, lived with her. Shringare is the main suspect and is absconding.

Shantipriya, a resident of Assam, was living with her mother for six years. She was a tattoo artist. She was working in Mumbai for a few months. Investigation so far has revealed that Kashyap and Shringare became friends through social media.
The youth had called Shantipriya to Murtijapur town. The girl arrived on July 21 and started living with Shringare at his house. Shringare was a waiter at a local bar. He was living alone.
Shringare was a drug addict. On the night of July 23, Shringare and tattoo artist Shantipriya had an argument over something. During this, Shringare, in anger, attacked the girl’s head with a sharp weapon. The next morning, the neighbors called the police and informed them about Shringare’s suspicious activities.
The police team reached the spot and broke the door of the house, where the girl was found dead. After the murder, Shringare is absconding. A case has been registered against him and investigation is underway.
