Female Naxalite carrying a bounty of Rs 13 lakh surrenders in Chhattisgarh

A female Naxalite surrendered on Saturday in Chhattisgarh’s Kabirdham district. She had a total reward of Rs 13 lakh on her head in three states. The Naxalite has been identified as Hidme Kovasi alias Ranita (22). She was active as a member of the MMC Zonal Committee. She was also a member of the Tanda/Malajkhand Area Committee of the Gondia-Rajnandgaon-Balaghat Division of the banned organization Communist Party of India (Maoist).

A police officer said that female Naxal Hidme Kowasi had a reward of Rs 5 lakh each in Chhattisgarh-Maharashtra and Rs 3 lakh in Madhya Pradesh. She was involved in 19 incidents of Maoist violence in Balaghat of Madhya Pradesh and 3 violent incidents in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district of Chhattisgarh. She has laid down her arms expressing disappointment with the atrocities committed by senior Naxals, inhuman and hollow Maoist ideology.

He said that under the rehabilitation policy of the state government, he will be given financial assistance of Rs 25,000 and other facilities.

A female Naxalite with a bounty of Rs 8 lakhs surrenders in Maharashtra

Along with this, in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli district, a female Naxalite surrendered before the police and CRPF on Saturday. She was accused of murder and attacking security forces. There was a reward of Rs 8 lakh on her head. She has been identified as Reena Narote alias Lalita, who was the commander of the ‘Tailor Team’. She was responsible for logistics in the entire Gadchiroli division of CPI (Maoist).

According to the police, this 36-year-old female Naxalite from Gadchiroli is named in a case of murder and attack on security personnel. The Maharashtra government had announced a reward of Rs 8 lakh for her capture. The security forces were looking for her for a long time. Meanwhile, she has surrendered before the Maharashtra Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officials.

Under the central and state policies, Rs 5.5 lakh is given for rehabilitation of surrendered Naxalites, which will also be given to Reena Narote alias Lalita. As a result of intensifying anti-Naxal operations in Gadchiroli district and the state government providing an opportunity to Naxalites to surrender and live a respectable life, 23 Naxalites have surrendered before the police in 2 years.
