In Uttar Pradesh, a new initiative has been started to increase the cooperation of the public in giving information to the police about any accident or crime happening with another person. For this, one state, one number, one initiative has been started. Through this campaign, a campaign will be run to connect more and more people to the 112 service of UP Police, which has been started today by DGP Prashant Kumar.
Generally people avoid giving information about any incident or accident to the police. Because, after giving information, police interrogation becomes a problem for them. But now the name and number of the informer at UP Police’s 112 control room will be hidden through the masking system.
This means that if you give information about an incident to 112, the police personnel will be able to call you only once to get information about the incident but they will not be able to call on that number again. The PRV police personnel will also get the number of the informer in a coded format, which they can use only once. They will not be able to call on it again.

DGP Prashant Kumar, while launching this campaign, said that with the help of people on social media, UP Police was able to prevent about 450 people from committing suicide, their lives could be saved. 112 has played the most important role in this. It is the result of better policing that today our expressways are completely safe. Our vehicles are stationed on the expressways to help in emergencies. Banditry has been completely eradicated from the state. Gangs that kidnap for ransom have been eliminated. Continuous action is being taken against criminals.
Now there is a need for the cooperation of the public so that immediate help can be provided on complaints of molestation or any other crime/incident on the road. Only by taking the initiative to keep one’s surroundings safe, the city will be safe and the initiative to keep the state safe will be successful.
