On one hand, cases of attacks on minority Hindus are constantly coming to light, while on the other hand, the leaders of Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League are running around to save their lives. Many leaders of the Awami League are currently underground. To save their lives, they have to live in deserted areas away from home.

Aaj Tak took an exclusive interview of one such Awami League leader who is going underground to save his life. During the conversation, the leader said that nothing has improved in Bangladesh. There is still a threat to his life. That is why he is forced to leave everything and stay here.

During the interview, when he was asked when the current situation in Bangladesh is likely to improve, the Awami League leader said that the situation does not seem to be improving at all. The rioters are selectively targeting Awami League leaders. They have to live in hiding.

Journalists are also getting threats

The next question asked to the Awami League leader was whether he thinks that now the Awami League will never be able to make a comeback. On this he said that the Awami League will make a comeback one day and Sheikh Hasina will definitely return to Bangladesh. A local journalist of Bangladesh told Aaj Tak that many local journalists who cover the Awami League are also receiving threats. The situation is not normal at all.

The mob vandalised the ISKCON temple

Let us tell you that violence has been continuously seen in Bangladesh since the coup. Recently, the ISKCON temple was attacked in Meherpur, an area located on the India-Bangladesh border and a stronghold of Jamaat-e-Islami. The Bhagavad Gita was burnt there. Along with this, the harmonium kept in the temple was also broken. The mob also looted and set fire to the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
