Father and uncle died in a terrorist attack, now BJP has given him ticket from Kishtwar, know who is Shagun Parihar?

In view of the Jammu and Kashmir elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the first list of candidates. Shagun Parihar’s name is also included in this list of 15 candidates. Shagun has been given a ticket from Kishtwar assembly seat. Shagun’s name is special in many ways, because she is the only woman among the 15 tickets distributed in the first list.

Shagun is the niece of former Jammu and Kashmir BJP secretary Anil Parihar. Anil Parihar and his brother Ajit Parihar (Shagun’s father) were killed by terrorists in Kishtwar in November 2018. When Shagun was talked to after getting the ticket, she said, ‘I want to thank Prime Minister Modi, JP Nadda and all those who supported me.’

She said, ‘I am confident that the people of Kishtwar will accept the daughter of Kishtwar with open heart. This election is not only for the family, not only for Parihar bhai, but for all those who have lost their loved ones. I cannot say much, I am very emotional. After the announcement of the ticket, I missed my father a lot. I cannot express much.’
