Farrukhabad: Two friends who went out to watch a program on Janmashtami committed suicide, their bodies were found hanging from a tree

In Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, the bodies of two young women were found hanging from a tree using the same dupatta. These two friends had gone out with their families late in the evening to watch a program on Janmashtami. When they did not return till late night, the family members thought that they must have stayed at a relative’s place. Later, when the news of their bodies being found hanging from a tree spread, there was an uproar in both their homes.

This incident happened near Bhagoutipur village of Kaimganj police station area, where the bodies of both the girls were found hanging from a noose in a mango orchard. When the villagers informed the family members about this, they were shocked to see the bodies of the daughters hanging. In the initial investigation, the police have ruled out the possibility of murder or rape.

Traces of girls climbing the tree found

According to the police, marks of the girls climbing the tree have also been found. Both the girls were close friends and they had gone out to watch the Janmashtami program late at night with their families. The bodies of both were found hanging from the same dupatta in a mango orchard about 150 meters away from the venue of the program. The police have also recovered the mobile phone of the cousin of one of the girls from the spot. According to the police, the cousin was watching the Janmashtami program with the family. The family has also denied the possibility of murder or rape.
