Director Farhan Akhtar, who has given two big hits to Shahrukh in his career, has now decoded his stardom. Despite being a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s blockbuster ‘Don’ (1978), Farhan’s film presented Shahrukh in a new style. Its sequel ‘Don 2’ is still considered by people as one of Shahrukh’s most stylish films. Farhan has revealed the secret of Shahrukh’s stardom.
Farhan told what Shahrukh does
In this interview with Raj Shamani, Farhan talked about Shah Rukh’s work ethics. He said, ‘He is very charming and knowledgeable. He reads a lot. He can talk on any topic and has his point of view. He is a very good listener. He has studied a lot and he takes interest in people. He is very curious, adventurous. He likes to have a good time and he doesn’t like to take too much load on things. He is a good guy to spend time with.’

Decoding Shah Rukh’s stardom, Farhan said, ‘He has a natural charm that attracts people and this is not only on the screen but also off the screen. He is very comfortable, he doesn’t put in effort while doing things and this ease makes you feel comfortable. He works very hard and this is what has kept him where he is.’
How is Shahrukh different from others?
Giving the example of Priyanka Chopra, Farhan explained how she is different from others. He further said, ‘I have met many people who love their work. I have worked with Aamir Khan and Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka loves her work but Shahrukh Khan… he becomes obsessed with the project he is doing. And as a director, I get motivation from this.’
Farhan Khan has announced ‘Don 3’ some time back. But in this film, he is working with Ranveer Singh and not Shahrukh, the hero of the first two films of the Don franchise. Some time back, in an interview with Variety, Farhan had said about bringing Ranveer in place of Shahrukh, ‘We have discussed this thing for many years. I wanted to take the story in some other direction. But we (Shahrukh Khan and I) were not able to reach a common point. So we parted ways with great respect, knowing that this would probably be the best.’
