Why Ranveer instead of Shahrukh?
Farhan Akhtar is working on the script of Don these days. He has finalized the plot of the third part of the film. That is why he has cast Ranveer Singh. He believes that according to the story he has written, Shahrukh will not be fit for this role. Farhan told that he also wanted to work with Shahrukh but according to the story it is not possible.
Farhan said in an interview to Faye D’Souza- When I first started thinking about Don 3, obviously, I thought of writing something about Shahrukh. But somehow we could not find the right direction to take the story forward. We could not reach a consensus on it – so it did not happen. So I thought, let me think again about what I want to do with the film and go back a bit.
Will the film be based on how Don was made?
Farhan further said- ‘Let me move a little further towards the story that made Don a Don, and then I started writing it. Then, it started coming into its own life. And obviously a young actor was needed for this. Ranveer Singh seemed like the perfect person for this.
Farhan’s statement is being interpreted to mean that the story of the film Don 3 can be a spin-off of Don’s personal life. Where it will be told how Don became a Don? A young actor will be needed for this, who will be played by Ranveer Singh.
There are also reports of Shobhita Dhulipala joining the film. The actress recently got engaged to South actor Naga Chaitanya. It is being told that the actress has been approached to do an item song. The release date of Don has been set for 2025.
