Famous ‘gurus’ should not have remained silent on the death of UPSC students, Super 30 founder Anand Kumar shows the mirror

Anand Kumar reaction on UPSC Aspirants Deats: Super 30 founder Anand Kumar has reacted to the death of three UPSC students in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi last Saturday. Anand Kumar said that the so-called famous ‘gurus’ of civil services should not have remained silent on this incident, they should have come forward and expressed their views. It is their duty to speak on such incidents. Let us tell you that on 27th July, two girls and a boy studying in Rao Coaching Center in Old Rajinder Nagar died due to water logging in the basement. The library was being run illegally in the basement.

People should accept their mistakes – Anand Kumar

Talking to news agency ANI, Anand Kumar said that people should accept their mistakes and try to correct them. He said, ‘As a teacher, he should have spoken about this incident earlier and now correct the mistakes. When you ask me to speak, it becomes my duty to speak. I am not against anyone but I want to say that if you have made a mistake then you should try to correct your mistake. It is not right to not accept your mistake. Anyone can make a mistake but this mistake should be corrected and one should work according to the rules.’

Students were advised to do cell study

Emphasising on ‘self study’, the founder of Super 30 said that instead of taking admission in institutes of famous teachers, students should do self study. He said, ‘I want to give a message to the students that they should take admission in these coaching institutes very carefully. It is not necessary that the teachers who are famous can teach the subject well. Look at your content and then decide which teacher can teach your subject properly. Choose the teacher with whom you can connect well. Don’t go with the crowd.’

‘Content is available online, no need to come to Delhi’

Kumar further said, ‘I would also like students to focus on self-study. Once you become an expert in self-study, no one can stop you from achieving success.’ The founder of Super 30 mentioned that there are many coaching centres in the country that give wrong information about their faculty. He demanded the central and state governments to create a centre where the problems of students can be solved. Kumar claimed that 90% of offline centres will be closed in the coming 10 to 15 years. He said that today there is so much content available online that students are unable to understand why they need to leave their villages and towns and come to Delhi.
