Noida’s Thana-49 Police has arrested a fake RAW agent. An Aadhar card and a fake RAW identity card have been recovered from the accused. Police say that the accused used to threaten people and extort money by claiming to be a RAW agent at different places. Action is being taken in the case.
According to the information, a few days ago, a person named Indranil Roy stayed with his family in a hotel located in Thana Sector-49 area. When the hotel manager asked him to pay the hotel bill, the person got angry at him. Then he started claiming himself to be an officer of India’s international intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

Police reached the spot and interrogated
After this, the manager informed the police about the matter. When the police reached the spot and inquired, the police became suspicious of the person. After this, when the police interrogated him thoroughly, it was found that the accused used to claim himself to be associated with the intelligence agency RAW to create pressure at different places, which benefited him. The police have arrested the person.
Additional DCP said this in the matter
Additional DCP Manish Kumar Mishra said that a man named Indranil Roy was staying with his wife and daughter in a hotel in Sector-49 police station area. The address written in the Aadhar card was of West Bengal. When the hotel manager asked for money, he introduced himself as a senior police officer and said that he was working in RAW. On suspicion, the hotel manager informed the police.
Other action is being taken after registering the case
After this, the police reached the spot and inquired. During this, the police came to know that the accused used to call himself a RAW agent. Aadhar card, passport and fake RAW identity card have been recovered from the accused, by showing which he used to pressurize people. A case has been registered against the accused and other action is being taken.
