Ex-NFL star Drew Bledsoe rips Tony Romo for how he handled Cowboys job: ‘had all the answers’

Former NFL star Drew Bledsoe took a shot at it Dallas Cowboys Successor Tony Romo on Sunday during a segment on ESPN before games start across the league.

Bledsoe appeared on “NFL Countdown on Sunday” to talk about the veteran presence in the quarterback room. He was with New England Patriots When Romo eventually replaced him with Tom Brady and the Cowboys.

Bledsoe recalled that he did not agree with then-head coach Bill Parcells’ decision to replace Romo.

“If you’re watching this Romo, you know this is true. The minute he became the starter, he became a lot bigger in his own mind,” Bledsoe said during the segment. “He wasn’t a curious and inquisitive guy anymore. That was the difference between him and (Tom Brady). Tommy became the starter, he’s still all questions. was asking, where suddenly Romo was the guy who had all the answers.”

Romo’s representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Bledsoe joined the Cowboys after three seasons with the Buffalo Bills. He started and played in each of the team’s 16 games during the 2005 season and was removed from the team’s Week 6 game against the New York Giants in 2006 and never played again.

At the start of the 2006 season, Romo had not thrown a pass in the regular season.

Romo spent the rest of his career with the Cowboys with an injury that led to Dak Prescott take the reins. He is now a color analyst with CBS.
