Engineering company linked to Pooja Khedkar’s mother sealed, property tax not paid for two years

IAS Pooja Khedkar, The troubles of trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar, who is surrounded by controversies, are increasing. Now an engineering company associated with her mother has been sealed. Pune’s Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation sealed the engineering company on Friday for arrears of property tax of about two lakh rupees. Let us tell you, Manorama Khedkar is currently in the custody of Pune Police in a criminal case. Pune Rural Police arrested Manorama Khedkar on Thursday for threatening some people with a pistol over a land dispute in 2023 in Dhadwali village of Mulshi tehsil.

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) of Pune district said that the closed company Thermoverita India Private Limited located in Talawade area was sealed for not paying the property dues. PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh said that the property tax of Thermoverita India Private Limited for 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 is pending for the last two years. Also the dues of the current year are pending. Since their dues were not paid in 2023, first a notice was issued to them and later as a gradual step, we first disconnected their water connection. The dues have not been paid for the last two years, so as a next step we have sealed the property

The company owes Rs 1.96 lakh

Officials said that the total dues of the last two years are Rs 1.96 lakh and if the dues of the current year are also added, the pending amount becomes Rs 2.77 lakh. It is known that Pooja Khedkar had given the address of an engineering company as her residential address while applying for a disability certificate at Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital (YCM) in Pimpri-Chinchwad for selection in civil services under reservation.

UPSC has also started action

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday initiated several actions against probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, including filing an FIR against her for appearing in the civil services examination using a fake identity card. The commission has also issued a show cause notice to cancel her candidature for the Civil Services Examination-2022 and bar her from appearing in future examinations. Khedkar, a 2023 batch IAS officer, was recently accused of misusing privileges during her training in Pune and using fake certificates to get selected in the civil services.
