Embassy attacked in New York, President dissolved Parliament… Read- Big updates on political developments in Bangladesh

Sheikh Hasina has fled from Bangladesh, the part of Pakistan which was separated from Pakistan and got independence as a separate country by her father Mujibur Rahman, and has left for the second time in search of refuge. Currently, she has been kept in the safe house of Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad. But it is being told that the Modi government is considering changing Sheikh Hasina’s safe house and soon she can go to some country and take refuge. In such a situation, there is also a discussion that Hasina can take refuge in some country of Europe and the Indian government will make arrangements for her travel.

In such a situation, many questions are also being raised that where is Sheikh Hasina going to go from the safe house in India? And is Britain avoiding giving asylum to Sheikh Hasina? Have America, Britain withdrawn their hands on Sheikh Hasina? The reason is being told that Britain has refused to give asylum to Sheikh Hasina. Actually, after resigning from the post of Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina came to India by Air Force plane. Her plane landed at Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad at around 5:30 pm on Monday evening and then returned to her country.

Since then, Sheikh Hasina has been in the safe house of Hindon airbase. But it is not clear what she will do next and where she will go. In the all-party meeting, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that Sheikh Hasina is being given time to decide. The way she left Bangladesh and reached Hindon airbase, it was clear that Delhi was not her destination. She sought asylum from Britain, but there are no signs of her demand being accepted from London. It is being told that now she is in touch with many countries of Europe and can also seek asylum from Russia.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, shocking pictures emerged from the Bangladesh Consulate in New York. Bangladeshi protesters attacked the consulate in New York. Here they forcefully removed the picture of Sheikh Hasina’s father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Earlier on Monday, the statue of Bangladesh’s founder and first president Sheikh Mujibur was broken. Now Bangladeshi protesters were seen entering the New York Consulate and creating a ruckus. It is surprising that no security is visible here.

President dissolved Bangladesh Parliament

President Mohammad Shahabuddin on Tuesday announced the dissolution of the country’s parliament to form an interim administration. According to the Dhaka Tribune report, a press release issued by the President’s Office said that the national parliament was dissolved based on the decision taken in a meeting of President Shahabuddin with the chiefs of the three armed forces, leaders of various political parties, representatives of civil society and leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement. Apart from this, the process of releasing those detained from 1 July to 5 August in connection with the student movement and various cases has started, many of whom have already been released.

Mohammad Yunus became the head of the interim government

Muhammad Yunus, the father of the global microcredit movement and Nobel laureate, has been made the head of Bangladesh’s new interim government. Earlier, he was appointed as an advisor to the interim government. Muhammad Yunus is a staunch opponent of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He is also considered to be a major reason behind Sheikh Hasina resigning from the post of Prime Minister and leaving the country. Yunus, who is known as the ‘banker of the poor’, and the Grameen Bank founded by him have received the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize. The reason is that he helped millions of people get out of poverty by providing small loans of less than $ 100 to the poor living in the villages. These poor people were not able to get any help from big banks.
