Elephant, tiger, leopard, leopard and wolf… where has the terror of man-eaters spread, people are living in fear

The terror of wild animals is increasing continuously in various districts of Uttar Pradesh. Villagers are in panic due to attacks by wolves, jackals and leopards. Apart from UP, incidents of wild animal attacks have also been reported in Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. In UP, incidents have been reported in Bahraich, Pilibhit, Sambhal and Hapur. The administration and forest department are on alert. The forest department has installed cages at many places and started awareness campaigns, but the villagers are scared.

Wolf attacked in Bareilly, UP

The villagers of Bareilly district are in panic due to the wolf attack. In the last three days, the wolf attacked two women, one of whom was badly injured. The forest department team started a search operation on the spot. The sighting of jackal has also been confirmed here. The forest department has distributed pamphlets to make people aware, which tell the ways to avoid animals.

Terror of jackal in Pilibhit

In Pilibhit, jackals attacked several people, injuring more than a dozen people including five children. Angry villagers killed a jackal. After the jackal attack, reports of wolf attack also surfaced. According to the forest department, jackal attacks are happening due to their meeting period and rain, as their dens are filled with water.

Fear of wolves in Sambhal

There is an atmosphere of fear in the entire area due to the news of wolf attack in Sheorajpur village of Sambhal district. The wolf attacked three girls and an elderly woman, in which the woman suffered serious injuries and was referred to Aligarh. The DM visited the village and a forest team has been deployed, which is investigating whether the attack was done by a wolf or some other animal.

Leopard terror in Hapur

There is an atmosphere of fear among the villagers due to the leopard’s paw marks found in Nawada village of Hapur. The wildlife team and the forest department team have set up cages in the village so that the leopard can be caught. The villagers have confirmed seeing the leopard. The forest department has confirmed the presence of the leopard on the basis of its paw marks.

The young tiger of Sariska in Rajasthan will be shifted to Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve in Bundi. This tiger was roaming in Haryana for 24 days and now it was seen in Jakopur village of Alwar. Efforts are on to tranquillize the tiger, but the tiger is hiding in the tall millet fields, due to which it is difficult to catch it.

Forest department started awareness campaign in Bahraich

In Bahraich, the forest department has started an awareness campaign in view of the increasing threat of wolves and other wild animals. Large banners have been put up in wolf-affected areas, showing the footprints of wolves, jackals, hyenas, tigers and leopards. Through these banners, villagers are being told how to identify the animals and ways to avoid them, so that there is no confusion and safety measures can be taken in time.

These banners carry special guidelines to make the villagers aware of what to do and what not to do. This includes information on how to avoid wild animals, advice not to go near them and information about informing the forest department in case of emergency. The aim of this campaign is to make the villagers alert and prepared to protect themselves from wolves and other wild animals.

Elephant terror in Garhwa, Jharkhand

The havoc of elephants is increasing continuously in Garhwa district. Elephants have caused heavy damage to crops and houses in many villages of the southern forest area. The villagers got angry and blocked the road on the Ramakanda-Bhandaria main road, after which the administration assured them of compensation and security. For the last one week, these elephants have created terror in the entire area. Life has become difficult for the villagers.
