ED officer’s decapitated body found on railway track, post office superintendent shot himself… What is the story behind the suicide of two officers in UP

The death of two officials in UP is in the headlines. While in Aligarh, post office superintendent TP Singh (Tribhuvan Prasad Singh) committed suicide by shooting himself, the body of Enforcement Directorate (ED) officer Alok Kumar Pankaj was found on the railway track in Ghaziabad. It is being said that he committed suicide by getting hit by a train. At present, the police is investigating both the deaths.

First let’s talk about Bulandshahr Post Office Superintendent TP Singh who ended his life by shooting himself with a licensed rifle in his residence in Aligarh yesterday (21 August). According to the information, the vigilance team raided the post office on the evening of 20 August on charges of corruption. TP Singh was very upset with this action. In the suicide note addressed to the SSP, he said that some employees were pressurizing me for wrong deeds, harassing me, so I am committing suicide. He has also written the names of many colleagues in this note and has held them responsible for his death.

It is being told that TP Singh was the Superintendent of the Bulandshahr Post Office since December 2021. A person had complained against the Post Superintendent accusing him of demanding bribe. On which the Vigilance team came to the post office for investigation on Tuesday. After questioning the officials, TP Singh reached his Aligarh residence and shot himself with a licensed rifle. At the time of the incident, there was no one else in the house except TP Singh. His wife is a teacher, who had left for school in the morning.

ED officer’s body found on railway track

In fact, a headless body was found on the railway track near Ghaziabad railway station on August 18, after filling the Panchnama, the police sent the body for postmortem. According to CO GRP Sudesh Kumar Gupta, the deceased was identified as Alok Kumar Pankaj from his driving license. In which the address was written as Delhi. When GRP also took information from the deceased’s family over the phone, the family members said that Alok had left home without informing them.

According to GRP, the family of the deceased is not in a condition to ask them anything more. Considering the family situation, the investigation has been postponed for some time. In the coming time, the police will take its investigation forward, after which the mystery of ED officer Alok Kumar’s suicide will be revealed.

Alok’s body was found by Ghaziabad GRP station on August 18 lying on the railway track near Gaushala railway gate, some distance away from Ghaziabad railway station. The head and torso of the body were separated. At present, further action is being taken by GRP in the case.

Alok Ranjan was a resident of Ghaziabad and was working with the ED delegation in New Delhi. Earlier, he had worked in the Income Tax Department. Recently, Alok Kumar Ranjan was questioned twice by the CBI in the alleged corruption case, however, he was released due to lack of evidence.
