Who doesn’t know actress Mita Vashisht who has appeared in films as well as TV serials. The actress has made a name for herself among the public by playing big and small roles. Mita also played an important role in director Mani Ratnam’s film ‘Dil Se’. Shahrukh Khan and Manisha Koirala were in the lead roles in it. Now the actress has recalled the shooting days of the film in an interview.

In a conversation with The Lallantop, Mita Vashisht said that she does not like the way her character has emerged in this iconic film. For the film, she had shot a fight scene with Shah Rukh Khan, in which both the characters have a fierce fight. However, the director finally cut this scene from the film. The actress also told that during the shooting of ‘Dil Se’, Shah Rukh Khan was very sensitive about her.

Mita told that during the scene, Shah Rukh Khan had saved her head from getting hurt. As a result, the superstar himself got hurt on his head. The actress said, ‘He had put his hand behind my head so that I could be saved. He is so sensitive, but instead he got hurt. He had a cut on his head and the whole unit was worried. But he said – everything is fine. Don’t worry. Bring some ice.’ Mita also said that director Mani Ratnam also wanted to give a sexual effect to their scene. He wanted the bodies of both to be wrapped around each other like a lion and lioness.

Mita Vashisht told that this scene was shot in Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi. A huge crowd had gathered there to see Shahrukh. In such a situation, he turned his back. When Mita asked Shahrukh why he turned his face away from the crowd, he replied that this is a problem. But before starting the shooting of the scene, he turned once and showed his face to the crowd and the crowd went out of control. Shahrukh knew that if he did this, then this would happen.

The actress told that after one take, director Mani Ratnam called the costume designer and asked her to wear a long sleeve T-shirt. Mita Vashisht further said, ‘I know what was happening. You were protecting your heroine. She should do her homework better. You should have asked her to go to the gym. You should have asked her to lose weight. I knew that the killer body I had built was dominating for Manisha. She did not pay attention to her physique. She was just focusing on her beautiful face. When we were together on camera, this difference was visible.’
