What is the tie-breaking policy?
This year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released actual marks instead of normalized marks for CUET UG. In such a case, a tie-breaking policy will be applied to resolve the tie between candidates with the same qualifying score, which is as follows-

1. The candidate who has higher percentage of aggregate marks in the top three subjects of class 12 will be given preference.

2. Candidates having higher percentage of aggregate marks in the best four subjects of class 12 will be given preference.

3. The aggregate percentage of marks in best five subjects of the candidates will be considered higher.

4. After this, the candidate whose date of birth is earlier as per his/her Class 10 mark sheet will be given preference.

5. The last option is alphabetical order of names of the candidates.

Let us tell you that this year DU will admit around 71,600 students in 69 colleges, departments and centers (excluding additional seats). Admissions will be given for 1,559 programs and college combinations at the UG level.
