Donkeys are being stolen one after the other from this city of MP, 25 have been stolen so far, the matter reached the public hearing of the police captain

There was a stir in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh when the case of donkey theft reached the public hearing of the police administration. More than 25 donkeys have been stolen from the city in the last one week. Now the cattle owners complained about this to the police, but no FIR was registered. Nor was any effort made to find the donkeys. Angered by this, the cattle owners reached the public hearing of the SP with their complaint.

The cattle keepers said that the value of the stolen donkeys is more than 10 lakh rupees. Many families used to earn their livelihood because of them. The cattle keepers who reached the public hearing to demand an FIR for donkey theft said that after taking work from the donkeys, they are released at 12 o’clock in the night and are brought back and tied in the morning. But last week, in three to four days, more than 25 donkeys were stolen from the city one by one.

A complaint was lodged in the Kotwali and Shikarpura police stations. The police kept the application saying that they will investigate, but did not register an FIR.

Complainants arrived at the public hearing

Animal breeder Madan Prajapati said, all animal breeders carry sand on the back of donkeys. With this, bricks are made in brick kilns. Their livelihood depends on donkeys. But when the donkeys were stolen, a complaint was filed in the police station but the police is not giving any information about the investigation. Animal breeders are troubled by this. Their work has completely stopped.

The price of a donkey is up to 40 thousand rupees

The complainant said that the price of a donkey ranges from 30 to 40 thousand rupees. A few months ago also donkeys were stolen from the city in a similar way, even then no action was taken on the complaint. Animal keepers have demanded to arrest the accused who stole the donkeys.

Aditya Prajapati, an advocate of the court, said that the donkeys of the people of our community have been stolen. We had come to meet the SP in the public hearing. We are confident that action will definitely be taken in this matter.
