In Jorethang, Sikkim, a man killed his wife by cutting her with a sharp weapon after a petty domestic dispute. After committing this murder, the accused surrendered himself at the police station at midnight. However, now the police is investigating this case.
Giving information about this sensational incident on Friday, a police officer of Jorethang told PTI that the 37-year-old accused killed his 33-year-old wife with a sharp weapon. He did not escape after committing the crime.
The police officer further said that the accused has been identified as Bhim Kumar Rai. His wife’s name was Smriti Rai. There was a heated argument between the two over domestic issues, during which Bhim killed his wife by stabbing her with a sharp weapon in his rented house at around 1 am on Thursday-Friday night.

The police officer said that the accused Bhim Kumar Rai lived with his wife and two children in a rented house in Jorethang town. After killing his wife, Bhim Kumar Rai surrendered himself at the Jorethang police station and told the police about the entire incident.
The local police officer said that Bhim Kumar Rai has two small children, who have been handed over to other family members for their care. He said that further investigation is being done in the case now.
