‘Doctors were never threatened, their protest is justified’, Mamata rejects BJP’s claim

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Thursday that she has never threatened the doctors protesting against the brutality done to the trainee doctor in Kolkata Medical College. Rejecting the allegations of BJP, Mamata Banerjee said that she fully supports the doctors’ movement and this movement is genuine in her eyes. In fact, BJP had alleged that Mamata has threatened the protesting doctors.

In fact, BJP has accused West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee of threatening junior doctors who are on strike. Let us tell you that doctors have been on strike for the last several days in protest against the brutality that took place at RG Kar Hospital. Doctors demand that the accused should be given the harshest punishment and a safe environment for better work should be provided.

What did Mamata Banerjee say

Mamata Banerjee, in a post, termed these allegations as ‘propaganda’ and said that she has not said a single word against doctors and medical students. The Chief Minister accused the BJP and the central government of creating anarchy and deteriorating law and order in West Bengal.
