‘Divya Manjan contains non-vegetarian ingredients’, a person approached the court against Patanjali, court issued notice

A PIL has been filed in the Delhi High Court against Patanjali Ayurveda and Baba Ramdev and others. It is alleged that ‘Divya Manjan’ is being sold in the market as a vegetarian product, while it contains fish ingredients. On Friday, the Delhi High Court issued a notice seeking a reply from the Central Government, Patanjali, Baba Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishna and others regarding this petition.

It has been stated in the PIL that considering ‘Divya Manjan’ or ‘Divya Dant Manjan’ as vegetarian, a special green symbol has been marked on its packaging. The petitioner says that an ingredient in ‘Divya Manjan’ is made from ‘Sepia officinalis’ fish, and he is surprised by its use in the toothpaste.
