Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) chief and Nagina MP Advocate Chandrashekhar spoke about the neglect of UP in the budget during the discussion on the Finance Bill in the Lok Sabha. He said that UP is the largest state in the country but it has not got anything in the budget. Chandrashekhar said that we have won 80 seats from UP. The population of UP is about 25 crores but it has got almost nothing in the budget. The government is giving five kg ration but it is not enough to live. More basic facilities are needed if we want to live a life of dignity.
He said that the government has no solution for that. Chandrashekhar said that the pace of development of the BJP government in a big state like UP is very slow. We are not worried about the government, we are worried about the people of UP. He said that our demand from the central government is that UP should be divided into four states. Quoting Dr. Ambedkar, he said that the smaller the state, the more will be the progress of the state. People will get employment and the life of the people will be prosperous.

Chandrashekhar said that the Scheduled Castes have been cheated by the Supreme Court. He said that if our people were so well-wishing, then when 10 percent can be given through EWS, then 5 percent could have been given to SC castes as well. But there is no will to uplift the poor. This could have been given to OBC castes as well. Chandrashekhar said that both the ruling party and the opposition should make their stand clear on this. Dalit and tribal society will not forget those who slit their throats.
The issue of disqualification of Vinesh Phogat was raised
Chandrashekhar said that he was trying to speak on Vinesh’s issue since morning. When she was disqualified, it felt like someone had stabbed her. He said that we have spent nights in that movement, have been shot four times. She is not the daughter of Haryana, but the daughter of the country. Chandrashekhar said that this is a matter related to the identity of the country. We were going to get a gold. The country would have been proud. What kind of system is this that her weight has increased.
He said that Vinesh would have brought glory to this country but today she is facing humiliation. The government minister counted that we gave so much money, did this and that. Did you do any favour, did you give any alms. Take more money from us. Chandrashekhar said that Dr. Ambekar had said that we are Indians first and last. When that daughter returns to the country, call her here and honour her.
