There was firing between two groups over possession of a shop in Ganganagar area of Prayagraj, UP. One person died in this incident, while another was injured. A police officer said that the dispute over the shop was going on between the two parties for about a month.
DCP (Ganganagar) Abhishek Bharti said that on Tuesday afternoon, the Bahria police station received information that there was firing between two parties over the possession of a shop. In this incident, a man named Mulayam Yadav (30) died, while a youth named Jitendra was shot in the leg. He has been admitted to the hospital.
According to the news agency, he said that there was a dispute going on between the two parties regarding that shop for the last one month. The police have detained six people in this case and are interrogating them. No complaint has been received from any party so far. An FIR will be registered as soon as a complaint is received.

A woman sleeping outside the house was set on fire along with her daughter
In another incident in Prayagraj, an unidentified man set a woman and her four-year-old daughter on fire by pouring petrol on them while they were sleeping outside their house in Sarai Inayat police station area on Monday night. DCP Abhishek Bharti said that on Tuesday morning, Sarai Inayat police station received information that someone had poured petrol on a woman named Rani Bharti (39) and her four-year-old daughter who were sleeping at night and set them on fire.
He said the woman and her daughter have been admitted to SRN Hospital where both are out of danger. Bharti said, since the accused fled, the woman could not see him. He said a case has been registered on the complaint of the woman’s father-in-law and the matter is being investigated.
