Sunny Deol’s film ‘Border’ is one of the biggest hits of Bollywood. It is also one of the most popular films based on the stories of the Indian Army. After the huge success of ‘Gadar 2’, when Sunny Deol announced ‘Border 2’, Bollywood fans have been waiting for the project with excitement ever since. And now an actor has joined this film, whose name will double the excitement of the public for the film.
Diljit Dosanjh, who is in a great form of success this year, is now going to be a part of ‘Border 2’. In this blockbuster project, Diljit will also be seen fighting shoulder to shoulder with Sunny for the country.
Diljit’s entry in ‘Border 2’
On Friday, the makers announced Diljit’s entry in the cast of ‘Border 2’ with a new promo. In the promo, Sonu Nigam’s voice from the original ‘Border’ film’s song ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ is heard and then Diljit’s name is written. This promo also has a patriotic dialogue in Diljit’s voice – ‘Every eye raised towards this country bows down in fear… when Guru’s eagles guard these borders!’
Diljit also shared the announcement of ‘Border 2’ on his Instagram. Sharing the promo, he wrote, ‘The first bullet will be fired by the enemy and the last bullet will be fired by us! I feel honoured to stand with such a powerful team and follow in the footsteps of our soldiers.’
Varun Dhawan and Ayushmann Khurrana are also together
Sunny Deol officially announced in June that he is ready to play his soldier character again from J.P.D Dutta’s film ‘Border’ (1997) and a sequel to the film is going to be made. Anurag Singh is going to direct this film. Sunny had posted on social media, ’27 years ago a soldier had promised that he would come back. He is coming to fulfill that promise and to say his salute to the soil of India.’
After the official announcement, the makers started announcing the cast of ‘Border 2’. So far, the names of Ayushmann Khurrana and Varun Dhawan have been announced in this film along with Sunny. While announcing ‘Border 2’, the makers called it India’s ‘biggest war film’. Looking at the casting, it seems that the makers are leaving no stone unturned to fulfill their claim. ‘Border 2’ will be released in 2025.
