Deserted darkness, street lights off, people sleeping outside their homes… see the reality check of the place where the wolf created terror

A wolf has created terror in Bahraich, UP. It attacked many people, killing them and injuring many. Here the administration teams are sweating to catch the wolf. Forest department officials are working hard. From around 12 o’clock last night, Aaj Tak’s team did a reality check in those areas of Bahraich where there is the greatest threat of wolves.

Let us tell you that nine people including eight children have died due to wolf attacks in Bahraich. The forest department has also managed to catch only four wolves after a lot of efforts. Even now two wolves are attacking people. In such a situation, the UP Forest Department Minister has said that they should be killed.

Minister Arun Kumar Saxena has said that we are trying to catch the wolves. Continuous efforts are being made for this. Still, if the remaining wolves are not being caught, then they should be killed. Killing the wolves would not be wrong, because we cannot allow the wolves to attack people anymore.

12 o’clock: A police team’s jeep is seen in Mahsi of Bahraich, in which the policemen sitting in it are about to leave for combing operations in several villages.

12:15 am: The police are patrolling. There is darkness in the village areas.

1 PM: Aaj Tak’s team along with the police reached a village in Mahsi late at night. Some people were lying outside in the village, whom the police instructed to go inside and lie down and asked them to be cautious of the wolf.

There are no doors in the village and no lights are visible either, whereas the UP government has sanctioned about 20 to 25 lakh rupees for installing street and petromax lights and installing doors in the village. This responsibility has been given to the Rural Development Department.

1:30 AM: Aaj Tak team reaches another village with the police. Here also the villagers are sleeping outside under mosquito nets. One person is sleeping with a dagger beside him. On Aaj Tak’s question, he said that he has kept it for the wolf, if it comes, he will stab it.

Apart from this, there is no light anywhere in the entire village. On investigation, it is found that there is a power cut, whereas CM Yogi has given strict instructions that there will be no power cut at night in wolf-infested villages. There are bulbs in the house, but they are not working. Due to the heat, the villagers are forced to sleep outside on cots.

1:45 am: The street lights near the police station in the village are switched off. There is a deserted darkness in the surrounding area.

at 2 o’clock: Jagrata Raho vehicles are passing outside CHC Mahasi, an ambulance is also present inside, because all the wolf attacks are happening at this time. Apart from the police and administration, BJP MLA Sureshwar Singh is also patrolling late at night.

Conversation with BJP MLA

BJP MLA Sureshwar Singh says that there was news of a wolf being found here. When we reached there, we saw that the paw marks were of some other animal. So now we are going to some other village. I do combing every night between 12 and 4. It is not possible to catch the wolf at night, but we go from village to village so that the villagers can be made aware.

On the question of no electricity and no doors in the village, the MLA said that the process is going on and soon all these arrangements will be made in the village. CM Yogi has given orders to shoot and sight the wolf, soon the terror will end. On the migration of two families in Sikandarpur Makka Purva village of the district, he said that this is not the case, people of that village keep coming and going to Punjab.
