Deoria: 13-year-old girl had severe stomach pain, family rushed her to hospital, shocked to know the truth

In Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, a 13-year-old girl was brought to the hospital complaining of severe stomach pain. Seeing her critical condition, she was shifted to the PICU ward. Meanwhile, she went to the toilet due to bleeding and gave birth to a baby girl there. When the family and the hospital administration came to know about this, they were shocked. After which the police was informed about it.

On the basis of the complaint of the girl’s family, Deoria police registered a case against the accused youth on the late evening of 24 August and arrested him. The next day, i.e. on 25 August, he was sent to jail. It is alleged that this youth raped the girl, due to which she became pregnant. The accused lives in the victim’s village. The victim’s family is very poor, they earn their living by doing labour. They had no idea that the girl was pregnant.

Currently, the minor girl who gave birth to the baby has been discharged from the hospital. But the girl’s family has refused to keep the newborn with them. In such a situation, the newborn girl has been handed over to child care.

According to the information, on August 22, a minor girl living in a village in Thana Bariyapur area suddenly got stomach pain, so the family members took her to the emergency ward of the medical college. From where she was sent to the PICU ward. But suddenly the girl started bleeding, so the staff nurse asked her to go to the toilet. The girl gave birth to a baby girl in the toilet itself. After which both the girl and the newborn were kept under the observation of doctors and the police was informed about it.

The accused is in the custody of Deoria police

Here, when the Bariyarpur police got the information, they were shocked. The police immediately reached the hospital and took the girl’s statement. She told that there was a boy named Jitendra Gupta in the village who had raped her. The family members did not know about it during the pregnancy. When asked, the girl never told about the rape due to fear.

In this case, Dr. Mahendra Kumar, in-charge of Bariyapur police station, said that as soon as the complaint was received, a case was registered against the accused under section 376, 5 (J) (2) / POCSO Act without any delay. The accused is a resident of the victim’s village. He has been arrested and sent to jail. Further legal proceedings are underway.
