A sensational case of murder of a 26-year-old girl from Delhi has come to light in Akola district of Maharashtra. This murder took place in Pratik Nagar of Murtijapur city of the district. Police suspect that the girl’s friend living with her has killed her. The girl died due to several blows on her head with a sharp weapon.
The name of the murdered girl is Shantikriya Prashant Kashyap (26 years), while the name of the accused is Kunal alias Sunny Shringare. Both of them became friends through social media. Kunal had called Shantikriya from Delhi to Akola and both of them started living together.
Last night, there was a verbal altercation between the two and in a fit of rage, Kunal attacked Shantikriya with a sharp weapon on her head, resulting in her death. This murder has created a stir in Akola.

What is the whole matter?
Shantikriya Prashant Kashyap, originally a resident of Assam state, was living in Delhi with her mother for the last several years. Shantikriya was a famous tattoo artist. A few months ago, she met Kunal alias Sunny Shringare of Digras in Yavatmal district.
Kunal had called Shantikriya to Murtijapur town of Akola district on the pretext of giving her a job. Shantikriya reached Murtijapur on July 21 and Kunal took her to Vaishali Wine Bar and asked for work. The bar owner refused to give her work, after which both of them returned.
Kunal, who had worked as a waiter in the same wine bar a few months ago, was now unemployed. In view of this situation, both of them decided to stay in Murtizapur and started living in a room at Shubham Mahajan and Manoj Vyas’s place in Pratik Nagar.
The two days went well, but due to Kunal’s habit of drinking alcohol, quarrels started between the two. Last night also there was a fight between the two, and in a fit of rage Kunal hit Shantikriya on the head with a heavy object, seriously injuring her, due to which she died. Kunal is absconding since the murder.
Police inspector Bhaurao Ghuge of Murtijapur police station informed that this morning the owner of the house Shubham Mahajan saw the body of Shantikriya in the room and informed the police about it. The police reached the spot and made a Panchnama and sent the body to Akola Government Hospital.
