Delhi Police has arrested a clever thief who used to send stolen money and jewellery to Bangladesh with the help of a money exchanger based in Kolkata. The police also succeeded in arresting the money exchanger from Bangladesh in this case.
A man named Kapil, a resident of Karkardooma area, had lodged a complaint in the police station that thieves broke the grill of the window of his house and stole jewellery and cash worth Rs 30 lakh. After registering the FIR, the police started investigating the case.

The police scanned more than 50 CCTV cameras installed nearby and identified the thief as Abdul Rehman. With the help of informers and technology, the police arrested the accused Abdul Rehman. During interrogation, Abdul told that he sold the stolen gold. Apart from this, he told that he sent a large part of the stolen money to his associates in West Bengal and bought a phone.

After this, the police investigated Abdul’s call details and got information about a suspect. After this, a team of Delhi Police chased the accused named Divyendu Ghosh for about 120 kilometers on the Bangladesh border and caught him. During interrogation, Ghosh told the police that he works as a money exchanger. This time he had received 25 lakhs from Rehman, which he was trying to smuggle to Bangladesh. Abdul had sent this money to Divyendu through ATM.
