Delhi Rain: Will rain disrupt Independence Day celebrations? Know what will be the weather in Delhi on 15th August

Monsoon rains are continuously falling in Delhi-NCR. For the last one week, there has been continuous rains almost every day, sometimes less and sometimes more. Monsoon rains of varying intensity are falling in Delhi and all the surrounding areas during afternoon, evening and night. On 12th and 13th August also, light to heavy rains were witnessed in many areas of Delhi-NCR. These include Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rains on 14th and 15th August as well. In such a situation, rain may disrupt the grand celebrations to be held in Delhi on Independence Day.

Let us tell you that a grand event is organized in Delhi on 15th August, Independence Day, but this time there is a threat of monsoon rain. Delhi has been receiving light to moderate rain for the last several days, which is going to continue this week as well. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of moderate rain in Delhi on 15th August, which may disrupt the celebrations. However, it is difficult to say at what time it will rain. There are chances of lightning, storm and rain in Noida on this day as well.

According to the weather department forecast, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Delhi for the next three days i.e. from 14 to 16 August. After this, this sequence will continue till 19 August with light rain on 17 August. At the same time, the series of rains will continue throughout the week in the entire NCR including Noida-Ghaziabad. Talking about the temperature, the maximum temperature here will be between 31 to 33 degrees Celsius.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, a cyclonic wind area is formed over Northeast Rajasthan and the adjoining Delhi region. For the last one week, the monsoon trough has remained very close to the capital Delhi. This situation is likely to continue till August 16. Under the combined effect of these two systems, active monsoon conditions will remain in Delhi and surrounding areas throughout this week.

The intensity and spread of rain will be more between 14 and 16 August. Due to which there is a danger of rain during the grand ceremony to be held at the Red Fort on the morning of Independence Day.
