Delhi Rain: Heavy rain in Delhi-NCR, water filled on roads, vehicles slowed down, traffic jam

It has been raining heavily in Delhi-NCR since morning today (24 July). Due to heavy rains, waterlogging has also occurred in some areas of Delhi and Noida. On one hand, while the rain has given relief from the humid heat, on the other hand, waterlogging on the roads is also increasing the problems of the people.

In fact, due to waterlogging, people going to office in the morning may have to face traffic jams as the speed of vehicles slows down. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain and drizzle will continue in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and surrounding areas in the next few hours.

However, this rain can cause some trouble as it can be difficult for those who go to office in the morning during office hours.. But it has also brought relief from the humid heat. Delhi NCR was experiencing humid heat for many days and today the series of heavy rains has started early in the morning.

Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has predicted very heavy rains at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and East Rajasthan today. According to Skymet, a cyclonic circulation is formed at lower levels over northeast Rajasthan and adjoining southern Haryana. Also, the monsoon trough which is moving south from its normal position. It is likely to move northwards and pass through Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi / NCR.

The combined effect of these systems will lead to an increase in monsoon activity. The increase in activity will largely cover Rajasthan, partially Haryana and least of all Punjab. Delhi/NCR is in close proximity to this system, which will bring some monsoon rains here. This will end the dry conditions that have prevailed for more than a week.

Along with this, some softening in temperature can also be seen. On July 23, the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 36.2 degrees Celsius, which is 1.3 degrees more than normal. However, today the maximum temperature can be recorded at 34 degrees and on July 25 it can be recorded at 35 degrees Celsius.
