It has been said in the chargesheet that the baby care centre had approval for five beds but there were 12 beds. Not only this, the oxygen cylinders were not as many as they should have been and the ones that were there were not safe. This is the reason why they blasted. The hospital did not have NOC

The operators of Vivek Vihar’s Baby Care New Born Hospital had not taken NOC from Delhi Fire Department and were running the hospital without it. This baby care center did not have any emergency exit gate nor the necessary equipment to extinguish fire. The biggest thing that Aajtak has found out is that the doctors in this hospital were not even qualified to treat children. The admission charge for one day in this center was 12 to 15 thousand rupees.
