Delhi: Park turns into a pond due to waterlogging, 7-year-old child playing inside dies by drowning

It is raining heavily in Delhi these days. Due to this, waterlogging has occurred at many places. Many mohallas, streets and parks are flooded. A similar situation has happened in a park located in Sector 20 of Rohini. Due to accumulation of rainwater there, the park has become like a pond. In such a situation, a child died by drowning while playing on Saturday evening.

After receiving the information, the police team reached the spot and took the child out of the water and took him to the hospital. There the doctors declared him dead. The child was identified as 7-year-old Tarun, a resident of Aman Vihar. The police has sent the child’s body for post-mortem and started further action.

It is said that a seven-year-old boy was playing in a park located in Rohini Sector 20. Due to the heavy rains these days, water has accumulated in the park which is closed from all sides. The waterlogging inside the park is such that it looks like a lake or a pond.

According to the information received about the child’s death, due to rain, there was a lot of water logging at one place inside the park. There was a lot of water there. While playing, the child fell into it. Due to the accumulation of excess water there, the innocent child drowned in it and died.
