UPSC candidate death case , The case of the death of three students preparing for civil services in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi was heard in the Delhi High Court on Wednesday. During the hearing, the court strongly reprimanded the Delhi government, Municipal Corporation and other agencies. The court made a strong comment on the death of the students and said that institutions like MCD have become bankrupt in the pursuit of freebies. There is no money to pay salaries to the employees. New infrastructure is not being built.

Delhi High Court also said that Delhi Municipal Corporation should also think about the politics of distributing freebies. The population of the country’s capital Delhi has reached 3 crore 30 lakhs while its infrastructure is for 6 to 7 lakh people. Unless the infrastructure of Delhi is changed, how will such a large population be able to live in Delhi. The court said, ‘Everything is messed up in Delhi. MCD officials do not know which drain is where. They cannot make any future plans.

The court further said that so many officials are unfortunately working for different purposes. A lot of allegations and counter-allegations are going on. The entire administrative structure of Delhi needs to be re-examined. The court has ordered the MCD Commissioner, the DCP of the district and the investigating officer (IO) to appear in the next hearing. Also, the MCD has been asked to file an affidavit and tell about the steps taken so far. The next hearing of the case will be on Friday.
