Delhi Police has arrested Miraj Chaudhary, the accused of shooting a woman dead after a minor quarrel in Gokulpuri area of North East Delhi, after an encounter. According to the police, they had received information about Miraj’s movement from informers, after which a trap was laid near a dirty drain in Gokulpuri area.
Around 3 o’clock in the night, as Miraj was passing through Gokulpuri area on his bike, the police tried to stop him. But the accused Miraj Chaudhary fired three rounds at the police team. In the retaliatory action of the police, Miraj was shot in both legs and he fell there injured.

According to the police, Miraj Chaudhary has a long criminal record. In 2015, he was involved in a murder case in Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad. He got bail in this murder case after six years. After coming out, in 2022, he tried to kill a person but he was caught. Shortly after getting out of jail 6 months ago, he again tried to kill another person and then went to jail. After 5 months, he got bail and now he shot and killed a woman in front of her children and husband over a trivial matter.
Accused Miraj Chaudhary has old criminal record
Miraj, who was involved in all three serious cases, was currently on bail. The police have recovered a pistol, three cartridges and a bike from the accused. On July 31, at around 3:15 in the afternoon, Miraj was going from Gokulpuri area on his bike, when his bike slightly touched the bullet of a person named Heera Singh. After this, there was an argument between the two and Miraj fired at Heera Singh, the bullet hit his wife and she died on the spot.
Accused Miraj was identified through CCTV
The police investigated the nearby CCTV footage to identify the accused and then the police found out that the murder was committed by Miraj Chaudhary, a resident of Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad. After this, the police deployed several specific teams to search for Miraj.
