Vinesh Phogat has become the first Indian woman to reach the final of wrestling at the Olympics. In her semi-final match, Vinesh defeated Cuba’s Lopez Guzman to secure her medal in Paris. Like her match against the Japanese player, Vinesh was cautious from the beginning against her Cuban opponent, she caught Guzman’s leg at the beginning of the match, due to which the Cuban opponent came under pressure in the initial minutes. Despite putting pressure, Vinesh could not win any points in the first 2 minutes of the match, Vinesh started putting pressure after this and dominated Guzman.
Vinesh Phogat’s uncle and guru Mahavir Phogat said that daughter Vinesh has slapped Brij Bhushan on the face. Before the semi-final match, Mahavir Phogat had said that I hope she will bring gold. He said that before the quarter-final match, the Japanese player whom Vinesh defeated had not lost any match till now. Mahavir Phogat said that Vinesh performed the way I told her.
