The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for many states including Madhya Pradesh. Monsoon has once again become active in MP and heavy rain warning has been issued in many districts. The administration has also become alert to control the situation.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Harda, Betul, Dewas, Khargone and Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh. The sun is not likely to rise in the capital Bhopal till September 5. During this time, rain with thunder and lightning will continue. The Meteorological Department (IMD) said that heavy rains may occur in 22 districts including Indore, Ratlam, Shajapur, Ujjain, Khandwa, Raisen, Dhar, Sehore. At the same time, light to moderate rains have been predicted in 28 districts including Rewa, Satna, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Sagar, Damoh and Shahdol.

After causing torrential rains and floods in Gujarat, the deep pressure area has transformed into Cyclone Asna in the Kutch area. Its effects were seen in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana yesterday (September 2) and now it can wreak havoc in Madhya Pradesh.
