Cyclone Alert: Gujarat is already facing the threat of storm due to rain and floods, IMD has issued this alert regarding cyclone

The situation in Gujarat, which is facing heavy rains and floods, may worsen further today (Friday), 30 August. The deep depression which was causing heavy rains in Gujarat is going to enter the Arabian Sea. Due to which there are chances of torrential rains in Kutch and Saurashtra. It is being said that in the last 80 years, this is the fourth such storm that has originated over land and will wreak havoc over the Arabian Sea. According to the Meteorological Department, this is a very rare incident.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a cyclonic storm forming in the Arabian Sea. This will be the first rare storm of its kind in the Arabian Sea after 1964. Rare because a weather system is formed over the land, due to which there is heavy rain in Gujarat. Now due to this system, a cyclone is forming over the Arabian Sea.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather system is going to turn into a cyclonic storm due to the heat of the sea. Till now this depression was over Saurashtra and Kutch, which is now slowly moving towards the west. It is seen moving from west to south-west.

The storm will have the greatest impact in Kutch, Saurashtra and the coastal areas of Pakistan. Let us tell you that before this, such rare weather was seen in 1944, 1964 and 1976.

Red alert issued at some places and orange alert at other places for 7 days
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Saurashtra and Kutch today due to the cyclonic storm. Apart from this, a warning of very heavy rain has been issued in Jamnagar, Porbandar, Morbi. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, it will rain in Gujarat for the next 7 days. There is an orange alert for heavy rain today, 30 August, in Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar, Dwarka of Gujarat. Apart from this, there is also a yellow alert for rain in Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh today. While light to moderate rain is expected in all other districts.

32 people died in 4 days due to rain and flood
Let us tell you that in the last 4 days, 32 people have died due to heavy rains in Gujarat. The maximum number of deaths have been in Anand, 6 people. At the same time, 5 people have died in Ahmedabad, 3 in Mahisagar, 3 in Jamnagar, 2 in Kheda, 2 in Gandhinagar, 2 in Dahod, 2 in Surendranagar, 1 in Aravalli, 1 in Dwarka, 1 in Panchmahal, 1 in Dang, 1 in Bharuch, 1 in Morbi and 1 person has also died in Vadodara.

Heavy damage to kutcha and pucca houses too
A total of 6414 kutcha houses have been damaged due to heavy rains. While 380 kutcha houses have been completely damaged. Apart from this, 289 pucca houses have been partially damaged and 18 houses have been completely damaged.

Rescue of more than two and a half thousand people
In 4 days, 2572 people have been rescued with the help of Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard and local police personnel. Maximum 1294 people were rescued in Vadodara, 682 in Kheda, 144 in Jamnagar, 123 in Devbhoomi Dwarka, 79 in Morbi, 78 in Kutch.

In 4 days, 32933 people have been shifted to safer places. Out of which maximum 11655 people were shifted to Vadodara, 4160 to Navsari, 3978 to Kheda, 2373 to Jamnagar, 1810 to Anand.

School closed due to rain alert
The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy rains till September 2. There is an orange alert in Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar and Dwarka. In view of the deteriorating weather, primary-secondary schools and colleges have been closed.
