In Sultanpur, armed masked miscreants entered the shop of a jeweler in broad daylight. After this, on the strength of the weapon, they made the shopkeeper and his staff sit aside and ran away waving pistols after looting the jewellery and cash.
This incident is from Thatheri Bazaar of Nagar Kotwali. Bharat ji Sarraf has a shop named Om Ornament here. On Wednesday also, like every day, people were shopping in the shop. Meanwhile, at around 12.40 pm, about half a dozen masked miscreants entered his shop and started looting at gunpoint.
Video of robbery surfaced
CCTV video of the robbery incident in the jeweler’s shop has also surfaced. It is clearly visible in it that the miscreants are looting the jewellery kept in the shop at gunpoint. On one side two people are sitting with folded hands, while on the other side a staff member has been made to stand with folded hands. Meanwhile, a miscreant wearing a helmet is seen taking out a pistol and waving it repeatedly.
IG reached the spot
As soon as the information about the daylight robbery at the jeweler’s place was received, Ayodhya division IG Praveen Kumar reached the spot. According to him, dog squad and forensic team have been engaged in investigation. 5 teams have been formed to catch the criminals. He claimed that soon the criminals will be caught and recovery will be done. Calculation is still being done regarding the amount of the robbery.
