‘Crimes against women are unpardonable sins, whoever is guilty should not be spared’, said PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today attended the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan held in Jalgaon, Maharashtra and addressed the public meeting. Amid the outrage over the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata, PM Modi said that we are making the law stronger and stricter for criminals who commit crimes against women.

The Prime Minister said that criminals should not be spared. Those who protect criminals should also not be spared. He said, ‘Action should be taken against hospitals, schools, colleges, police departments whoever is involved in this. Governments keep coming and going, we have to protect our women. Strict action should be taken against those who commit crimes against women.’

We have made rules for women in BANS- PM
Regarding the crimes against women, PM Modi said, ‘Today I will once again tell every political party of the country and the state government that crime against women is an unpardonable sin. Whoever is guilty, he should not be spared. Those who help him in any way should not be spared. Be it a hospital, school, office or police system… at whatever level negligence occurs, everyone should be held accountable.’

PM Modi further said, ‘We are making the law stronger and stricter for criminals who commit crimes against women. Earlier, there were complaints that FIRs were not being registered, we brought BNS and made many amendments in it. If a woman does not want to go to the police station, she can register an e-FIR. No one can change or tamper with the e-FIR. There were complaints of crimes against women after marriage, we have made amendments in BNS. The central government is with the state government for crimes against women.’

Our government has worked for women: PM
PM Modi said that the women power of India has always contributed a lot in building the future of the society and the nation and today when our country is working hard to become developed, our women power is once again coming forward. The PM said, ‘Today I challenge you – keep the seven decades of the previous governments on one side and keep the 10 years of the Modi government on the other scale… the amount of work that the Modi government has done for the sisters and daughters of the country, no government has done that after independence.’
