‘Created my own identity in the industry’, rejected Akshay Kumar-Shahrukh Khan’s film, reveals Kangana Ranaut

Bollywood actress-MP Kangana Ranaut is busy with the promotions of her upcoming film ‘Emergency’. In such a situation, she is giving interviews to media houses. She is seen giving many such information about her personal and professional life which no one knew about. Recently, during a conversation in Aap Ki Adalat, she told that she had rejected Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Zero’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Singh is Bliing’.

Kangana said this
Kangana said- I got offers for many big films. I don’t know how many big films I rejected in this past decade. I wanted to do those films which no one wanted to do. Like I played the role of Indira Gandhi in ‘Emergency’. Kangana had told in an interview that she had rejected a role in Salman Khan’s film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. She also got an offer for Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Zero’, but she refused.

When Kangana was asked if she rejected any of Akshay Kumar’s films, the actress said- Akshay offered me a role in ‘Singh is Bliing’. As a female actress, I have created my own identity in the industry. No one wanted to make a film on an old woman who became the Prime Minister of our country thrice (Indira Gandhi).

“There was a time in my life when I struggled for work. But after ‘Queen’ my life changed. I was getting a lot of offers, but I did not want to do anything at that time. In 2006 when I was struggling, no one wanted to work with me. No one was even giving me secondary roles. Then when my film ‘Queen’ became a hit in 2014, I started getting offers. At that time I thought that I will do my own films like Sridevi ji. Will Aamir Khan give me a chance to show him my best performance? Salman is a very big star. He is also a good friend of mine and Aamir is also a good person.”

Let us tell you that in an interview, Kangana had told that Ranbir Kapoor had approached her for the film ‘Sanju’. He had also offered her a role, but she had turned it down. Kangana was offered the role of a journalist in the film, which was later played by Anushka Sharma. Kangana’s film ‘Emergency’ is releasing in theatres on 6 September.
