Jharkhand: A couple was allegedly murdered by a member of their own family over a land dispute in Jharkhand’s Khunti district. The incident took place in Jhora Toli village under Rania police station area on Friday evening.
What is the whole matter?
Torpa Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Christopher Kerketta said that Sukra Mallah was cooking chicken in his courtyard when his cousin Luto Mallah attacked him with a stick. He also said that Luto also allegedly attacked Sukra with a sharp weapon, due to which he (Sukra) was seriously injured and died.

“When Sukara’s wife came forward to save him, he killed her too. Sukara’s mother and son were also injured while trying to stop Looto,” Kerketta said. The accused has been arrested. Police suspect that the incident was due to a family dispute over land.
